AEW Blood & Guts was an intense and bloody match. It lived up to its name and was very violent and chaotic. I assume many of the competitors involved in the match are battered and bruised, but one man got hurt during the match.
Santana was the second to last person to enter the match for Blackpool Combat Club. He brought in a table and got a few moves in before getting injured. Santana went to hit a Uranage on Daniel Garcia and landed awkwardly. It has not been specified if that was the point when he injured himself, but to my eyes, that is when it was. He immediately rolled to the side of the cage and never got back into the match again. He stayed inside the cage for a while before he was helped out of the cage, as reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select.
The extent of the injury is unknown so far. It looked like a leg injury, but nothing has been announced yet. Santana had only been in the match for under a minute and got hurt which is unfortunate. You never want to see injuries, especially if it is for a big-time match like this. It is a shame that there is another injured wrestler. As of late, there have been a lot of wrestlers, not only in AEW, but that have also gotten hurt. Hopefully it is not anything serious and he will return in the near future. We will keep you up to date with further information regarding his injury.
Vendetta Sports Media is sending our best wishes to Santana that the injury is not serious.
